Bella B Picks: Our Favorite Cozy Fall Accessories

Baby, it’s cold outside and our favorite way to stay warm is to cozy up with some comfy fall accessories.  They’re an easy way to change up your outfit and make your look unique to you.   You can have any boring old sweater and jacket combo, but once you throw on a fun and unique accessory, it amps up the look and brings your own fresh twist to it.  You could wear your fall accessories with any outfit you want to so they’re super versatile and easy to style.  We’ve picked a few of our favorite accessories for the fall and winter season and put together some looks to pair with them.

Gloves are seriously the best when it’s cold outside.  Nothing is worse than being all bundled up and warm everywhere else BUT your hands.  You could go the traditional route with some simple fingered gloves, but we love the unique look of these hand warmer style gloves.  It keeps your hands super warm and comfy while still leaving your fingers some room to move…and text!  We love the tough look of this leather jacket paired with this gloves, but you could easily style these gloves to suit your style, whether it’s classic, girly, or anything!

Scarves are THE fall accessory.  You can find a million kinds of scarves: cotton scarves, wool scarves, infinity scarves, traditional scarves…there’s so many to choose from! We love infinity scarves cause they take the hassle out of figuring out how to wear your scarf.  Just wrap it around twice and you’re good to go!  This fringed scarf brings a nice element of texture to any look.  We love pairing a plain colored scarf with a patterned piece like this aztec sweater. The plain scarf doesn’t add any distractions to the pattern, making it super easy to style and transition with other pieces in your wardrobe.

The final bell has rung and the back-to-school season is officially here.  It’s time for endless library visits, coffee runs, and late nights. But, a new school year also brings new starts, new opportunities, and new first impressions.  We always plan our favorite outfits for the first week of school, but once that week is over…we’re back to square one.  We’ve put together some easy and cute back-to-school outfit formulas that you can follow for those days when you just don’t know what to wear.  Most of these items will probably already be in your wardrobe so you can just throw them on and run out the door!

We love this formula because it’s the perfect mix of girly and tomboy.  Pairing your favorite dress with a slouchy cardigan and more masculine accessories like a watch and some combat boots will give the dress a tougher, cooler edge to it. You can also play with textures and patterns.  Pair a patterned dress with a plain cardigan or a plain dress with a textured cardigan, like the crocheted one we’ve featured. Try this look with your hair down or half up half down to play on the girly side of it.  We also love this outfit with a fresh faced make up look: rosy cheeks and a simple eye.

This formula is perfect for those days when you wake up just a little too late and have to get ready at lightning speed or those days when you just can’t be bothered to change out of your comfy clothes.  Throw on your favorite pair of leggings, your most comfy tee, and your warmest hoodie.  Don’t fuss with laces or shoes with straps.  Just slip your feet in some moccasins and you’re set!  Throw your hair in a messy bun or a ponytail and apply a quick layer of mascara and you’ll be ready in no time!

This formula is great for those cooler days where you wanna stay warm, but still look girly and feminine.  Throw on your favorite pretty blouse and skinny jean combo but throw on some tall riding boots and a cozy scarf to stay warm.  We love the idea of pairing a patterned blouse with a simple scarf and bag to let the blouse be the statement piece.  You can wear your hair up in a messy bun for a laid back vibe or down for a more polished look.  This outfit is also the perfect opportunity to break out those fall lipsticks, like a berry or a wine shade, since it’s a little bit more dressy. 

 

Bella B How To’s: Transitioning Your Summer Jeans to Fall

It’s that time of year again…it’s time to say a sad goodbye to summer and hello to autumn.  We know, we know…it hurts to say goodbye.  But, you can still rock some of your summer wardrobe in the fall to help transition your way into the season of Thanksgiving, pumpkin spice lattes, and falling leaves.   Just by adding some simple pieces that you probably already have in your wardrobe, your summery pastel and patterned jeans will look fall ready!

We adore these dusty pastel pink jeans.  In the summer, they were perfect to wear with a blousey top and some sandals for a casual, romantic look.  But, for the fall, we love this look paired with a slouchy long sleeve t-shirt and your favorite cozy scarf.  Throw on some flats and some sparkley bangles for a look that’s still feminine and casual, but with a bit more warmth.  This look would be perfect for going to class or going out for coffee.

Patterned jeans have been a huge trend recently.  These black and white polka dot jeans were perfect to dress up in the summer with a slinky black tank and some fun heels.  And no matter what the “rules” say, you can still wear white after Labor Day.  Just pair these jeans with a comfy, oversized navy sweater and some black accessories like this simple cross body bag and these cool skull studded flats.  This would be a perfect look for a shopping day out or a lunch date with some friends.

Mint is always such a huge trend in the summer.  Your mint jeans were perfect paired with your favorite t-shirt and some cute white sneaks in the summer.  For fall, we love mint jeans paired with a cream sweater, some taupe boots, and a super cozy, aztec patterned scarf.  The maroon clutch with gold accents spices up the look a bit without taking away any of the attention.  This look is great for a movie night or a casual dinner date out.
