Bella B How To’s: Sweaters for Your Style

One of our favorite things about fall is sweater weather.  Something about bundling up in a comfy sweater just screams fall to us! Imagine walking around in the breezy weather in your favorite sweater with a warm coffee in hand…sounds like a dream, doesn’t it?  The best thing about sweaters is that they come in a whole range of styles and shapes so any girl with any style or body type can rock a sweater that’s perfect for them.  We’ve put together some looks for the bohemian girl, the girly girl, and the simple and classic girl featuring some of our favorite sweaters in store right now.

For the bohemian girl, we love the idea of a slouchy, cropped aztec printed sweater.  The cropped style is brings a cool twist on your traditional sweater and aztec print is one of our favorites for the season.  Go for a sweater that’s slightly oversized and slips off the shoulder for added cool points. To go with the bohemian style, we like to pair a cropped sweater with a maxi skirt.  It’s flowy, comfortable, and looks effortless, rather than pairing it with the more structured look of a pair of jeans. The best part about a maxi skirt is that it looks put together, but it feels like you’re wearing a comfy pair of sweats.  It’s like secret comfort! We paired this look with some strappy sandals and a long pendant necklace to go with the free spirited look.

For the girly glam girl, we love the look of a pastel colored dolman sleeved sweater. It’s slouchy and comfortable but the color makes it feminine.  A simple dolman sleeved sweater makes this look is perfect for tons of glamorous accessories like a big watch and some chunky bracelets.  We love this look paired with leggings and a pair of heeled booties to keep the look girly and dressed up.  Carry your favorite structured purse and you’re ready for a day out shopping with the girls!  Let your accessories do the talking so you can switch up your look whenever you please without changing the clothing pieces.

The simple and classic girl looks great in a cream colored crew neck crocheted sweater.  Cream is a great color for the classic girl because it goes great paired with almost any other color, so it’s easy to match and easy to transition to other months.  The crocheted texture on this sweater adds a bit of spice and fun to its classic shape.  Pair this look with some leggings and some classic tall brown boots.  For some added warmth or structure, you can pair this look with a pair of jeans instead of leggings.  When it gets a little cooler, try pairing a scarf with this look.

Bella B How To’s: Transitioning Your Summer Jeans to Fall

It’s that time of year again…it’s time to say a sad goodbye to summer and hello to autumn.  We know, we know…it hurts to say goodbye.  But, you can still rock some of your summer wardrobe in the fall to help transition your way into the season of Thanksgiving, pumpkin spice lattes, and falling leaves.   Just by adding some simple pieces that you probably already have in your wardrobe, your summery pastel and patterned jeans will look fall ready!

We adore these dusty pastel pink jeans.  In the summer, they were perfect to wear with a blousey top and some sandals for a casual, romantic look.  But, for the fall, we love this look paired with a slouchy long sleeve t-shirt and your favorite cozy scarf.  Throw on some flats and some sparkley bangles for a look that’s still feminine and casual, but with a bit more warmth.  This look would be perfect for going to class or going out for coffee.

Patterned jeans have been a huge trend recently.  These black and white polka dot jeans were perfect to dress up in the summer with a slinky black tank and some fun heels.  And no matter what the “rules” say, you can still wear white after Labor Day.  Just pair these jeans with a comfy, oversized navy sweater and some black accessories like this simple cross body bag and these cool skull studded flats.  This would be a perfect look for a shopping day out or a lunch date with some friends.

Back to School Basics: The Hoodie
