Reusable Fashion

We are obsessed with Omnisax because we live in a county where plastic bags are banned, and Omnisax makes super cute reusable bags. They roll up to the size of your fist and unravel with ease so they fit perfectly anywhere! With fun, bright designs these bags are not only amazingly fashionable, but they hold up to 40 pounds and are made of water-proof and washable material.

Their brand focuses on environmental sustainability and they want to spread this message across the globe. They hope that spreading the message of sustainability, through their reusable bags, will create a better future for our planet. Education about the harm of plastic bags is their main focus. What do you use reusable bags for? 

The Perfect Fit

Sunglasses can be tricky. They are either too big, two small, or just plain wrong, but we want to help! By determining the shape of your face, there are easy rules to follow. Here is a guide to find the perfect fit!

Square

-For a square face it is important to pick lenses that are not square.

-Stick to round lenses, this will lengthen your profile.

-Curved sunglasses are great because they soften your features.

– A slightly higher frame will draw attention away from your jaw line and to your eyes.

 

 

Heart

-For a heart-shaped face try to echo the shape of your face.

-Pick frames that have a wider top than bottom.

– Aviators and cat eye frames are the perfect style for you!

 

 

Round

-If you have a round face avoid round frames.

-To balance out your features pick square frames and frames with straight lines.

– Sunglasses with angular frames also look great! 

 

Oval

 

-If you have an oval face you are in luck, almost any style of sunglasses will look great on you!

-Just make sure to keep styles proportional to your features.

-Frames with a little flair will add an extra sparkle.

Inspired by Gatsby, 1920s Fashion

The film adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s book,  The Great Gatsby, arrives in theaters today. The movie’s over the top 1920s fashion has inspired us to try looks from such an iconic time.

How to Wear: Monochromatic Colors

Monochromatic Colors can be done a couple of ways. It is a daring look, but we believe anyone can pull it off. Just wear it with confidence.

Here are some tips!

Make sure the colors match perfectly. There is nothing worse than trying to dress in one shade and wearing two colors that are slightly different. So make sure to keep the colors consistent. You can also mix in another tone. This is easy to do with the accessories.  Here we chose a brown clutch and flats. It helps balance out the outfit, especially if you are a little concerned about the same tones.

P.S. monochromatic outfits can make you look taller! 

Another trend similar to monochromatic is color blocking. This is when you wear two different shades of either the same color or complementary colors. This look is great for those a little worried about completely matching their outfit.

Remember two colors are best or the outfit will become too busy. Complementary colors are great, but colors within the same family can also complete this look. If you decided to pick colors within the same family make sure they are at different ends of the spectrum. One of the best parts about color blocking is there are a ton of options, while monochromatic is limited.  We love how fun and bright this outfit is, and reminds us that summer is right around the corner!

Most of us have a sophisticated dress in our wardrobe that we only wear for special occasions.  Why not wear it all the time? Re-using and re-mixing your wardrobe is so much fun and gets the most out of your closet. So take a look at how we styled one dress, three different ways!

Look 1: Professional & Flirty

This bright, bold blazer gives this dress a more casual feel, while making it appropriate for the workplace. The blazer is a perfect color for spring & summer, while the neutral sandals don’t overwhelm the outfit. We paired this dress with our over sized “Pardon My French” bag, a favorite of ours at Bella B. We love when an outfit makes a statement.

Look 2: Casual & Rustic

For this look, we wanted an outfit that is perfect for any daytime adventure. To tone down this dress we added boots for a carefree vibe.  We also wanted to show a little of our country side, but continue with vibrant colors.  The yellow scarf and sun hat really complete the look.  This outfit is excellent for wine tasting, exploring a farmer’s market, or attending your county fair this summer.

Look 3: Sophisticated & Dainty

This dress really is elegant and so on our last look we wanted to make sure it didn’t loose any of its beauty. The black tights against the white dress give a bold, strong contrast that we love. Paired with white and yellow Lily and Laura Bracelets this outfit screams sophisticated.

Brands That Rock a Cause

    Here at Bella B we always strive to carry the latest  fashion trends for our customers. However, keeping up with recent trends is not always easy…  When a brand has an amazing product and gives back through humanitarian efforts we can’t help but love their product.

Coachella Inspired

This past weekend Coachella paired music and fashion in the best possible sense. With celebrity sightings and an amazing atmosphere we are a little jealous of those who attended.  So what a better excuse to become inspired by the past week and use our jealousy for new wardrobe inspiration.
